Bio lessons

Dear 09S05,

I was very pleased to see that ALL of you were attentive (at least you've tried to) during the lesson ytd. I was suspecting that the conducive learning environment- with air conditioned classroom, played a role.

I have booked J2-78 classroom for you (these 2 weeks), for today's lesson, 2-3pm, as well as next week's Mon, Tues & Friday's lessons.

If you continue with this good attitude of learning, I assure you that you'll definitely excel in Biology for Promos!

Just like to commend your class (majority of you) for paying attention during your Biology lessons both on Tues & Friday. I've also sensed that some of you are > serious and putting in > effort in achieving your finishing line end of this year! Keep it up,k!!

I do not want to sound like nagging, just a quick reminder: it's really crucial for you to start Promos revision NOW,k!you do not have much time left!:S

I was very encouraged to learn that some of you have made a little improvement in your attitude during Bio lesson today- I was very glad that Ming Jie & Vanessa gave me excellent answers when they were questioned, however quite a number of you I should say, still need to work on your attitude towards studies. I understand that you were tired, and lethargic just now because Bio lesson was at 4pm, but do you expect me to end my lessons earlier on Mon, Tues, Wed (last lessons) so that you could go back earlier and rest? I do not request for such a unproductive time for my lessons, if we cant change the timing, I think what we can do really is to fully utilize the time that we 've been allocated more effectively. There's no point of wasting the hour, frankly speaking, I would rather you all go back home and revise by yourself if you think that 4pm lesson is too late & useless for you.

I think all of you are mature enough and able to make good decision for yourself whether you want to focus and work hard before your promos, from 28th Sept, or you wouldnt mind staying back another year in PJC. Remember, things don't just fall on your lap. You have to work for it. You can't hide behind any reasons or excuses cos ultimately, your results and your own conscience speak the truth (barring any accidents of course). You will only reap what you are willing to sow.

I have a suggestion here, if all of you agree, we could change your Bio lesson on Monday, to Friday, after your practical lesson @ 1pm. (must check with Ahmad & Zul if they have finished their Friday Prayer by then).

Dear all,

I realized that some of you were very disappointed with your MYE results.
Firstly, I want you to ask yourself if you have done your best? If your answered is YES, and yet you did not attain your expected results, I would like you to evaluate your own study techniques, if you need feedback from me, you could come and see me.

Please do not dwell in this negative thoughts for too long, let not this discourage you from working hard BUT i think you should get up and focus on the journey of u real SOON!!!

Think I shall start posting something up here, so that you guys/girls would join me. :)

I have been with your class for the past 6 months, and I should say that it has been good journeying with your class without much of a problem especially relating to serious disciplinary cases. However, after 6 months of time together and from my observation, I realized that many of you are rather shy and reluctant to share your thoughts with me. I reflected upon my actions & words toward your class...as well as gathered some truthful and genuine info from some of your classmates......

Basically, some of you think that I have VERY high expectations of your class, I am very strict with you guys...and when you dont seem to understand my lessons, I got 'agitated' very easily, that is why you do not feel comfortable coming for consultations and sharing your views with me.

I would like to apologize if my actions have detered you from learning, finding out more about Biology especially. Would like to also clarify with you, that I have higher expectation of my own Civics group because I care MORE for you!:) I do sincerely believe that each of you has the ability to reach goals beyond your imagination, and if you allow me to, of course I hope to assist you in reaching your fullest potential!

I have read the reflection sheets that all of you have submitted to me on Wednesday. More than 50% of you mentioned that you couldnt focus during the holiday, you did not put in your VERY best for the Mid Year Exam. It's really NOT too late IF you want to perform well....Start from TODAY... try to invest more time in your studies...ALWAYS realize that last minute work is useless especially for A-levels.

Remember that

"There are no shortcuts to any place worth going."

In order to excel in studies, you need to work HARD...I'm sure all of you agree with me, especially our sportsmen/women (canoeist, rugby guy, hockey girls....)

Have a fruitful weekends...post some interesting stories/memorable events here in this blog, so that all of us can share your joy & burden together as a class...
